March HR Law Lunch & Learn: When the Customer Is the Problem Dealing with Harassment, Discrimination, and Other Questionable Behavior by Non-Employees.

By now, most employers are well-aware that harassment by co-workers is bad, very bad. But what if the bad actor is not your employee? What if your patient insists on "white-only" caretakers, the mail carrier makes sexual comments to your receptionist, or the employee of a completely different company creates problems on a shared worksite? You may think your responsibility as an employer exists only within your workforce. After all, you can't control others, right? Wrong. Join us as we discuss an employer's duty to address the wrongdoing of outside parties and what you can and should do in response.

Speaker Julie M. Young Attorney Julie M. Young uses her 25 years of legal experience and HR expertise to help employers navigate the increasingly complex world of employment law.

Doors open at 11:30 for networking and lunch. Presentation from 12:00-1:00pm. Q&A session from 1:00-1:15pm.
